Online Stock Purchase?

ok....so I have a certain stock I would like to purchase. I have signed up for a TDameritrade online account. I can find the stock I want to purchase. Can someone tell me what to do next. This is a stock that I want to hold onto for awhile. All of the choices are pretty daunting....first time stock buyer looking for a little help! Thanks!
