Amazon online account basket?

I have an item in my basket that i cant pay for until next friday ( 8th of July ) there are 2items currently in stock but my question is. Will the item stay in my basket until its paid for or will it get removed and sold to someone else if untouched for a period of time? I hope that makes sense lol
