Helppp guy troubles ????????

okay, so i went out with this guy 3 months ago. and to me it was a serious relationship, so i reeeally liked him. but i guess to him im just 'another girl'. anyways, in the past 3 months we have been bf/gf, friends with benefits, friends, and not talking to each other at all. he texts me every night and 2 nights ago he called me babe, but then was like jk jk. and he wants us to hang out, just me and him. but last night he called me and was flirting saying stuff like 'oh im gonna be by your house tomorrow i should pick you up and we can hang out, just you and me' but theeeen he started talking about this other girl who i guess hes talking too. and talking about how hes gonna ask her out on his birthday, blah blah blah. and im just like wtf. AND he was fricken texting her while he was talking to me! and then hes like just text me for now im gonna call ______(the girl). and i never texted him, so he texted me and i never texted back. then he called an hour later and i ignored it. so i called my friend crying and **** and talked to her about it. and i decided that i need to get him OUT of my life. but i never done that before and all i can think about is "what if i had kept talking to him and something wouldve happened in the future" you know? anyways, i need ANY ideas/thoughts/opinions on this situation. thanks!
